....exploring the planet's ecosystems
The field guide to the ecology and wildlife of the tropical seashores of the Indo-Pacific...

This book covers the ecology and species you may encounter while strolling the tropical seashores of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This huge region includes the beautiful coasts of eastern Africa, Madagascar & the Seychelles, south-east Asia, northern Australia, New Guinea, and across Polynesia. This is not just a place to lay around on your beach towel sipping a cocktail and getting a suntan, it is a habitat where you can meet some of the most well travelled plants and animals on the planet - from coconuts to coconut crabs!

The author Damon Ramsey completed his Biology degree very slowly at Charles Darwin University, Northern Territory, and James Cook University at Townsville and Cairns, north Queensland. His favourite drink is coconut water. He is trying to give up Coco Loco. These days he works mostly as lecturer & biologist guide on expedition ships, where he is released onto tropical seashores all around the world.
